Your public catalog site could be customized in different ways.
Templates are reusable fragments of product content elements . Once you add a product to the page and choose template, it will automatically render template elements with product field data and images. You can add multiple products at once with the same template.
Benefits of using templates:
- link to the product – once product information changes, the template will be automatically updated,
- changes to template design will be automatically applied in every place it is used in your catalogs.
- a template can take a fraction of page and several of them can be used on one page creating multi-product pages,
- same templates can be used in Showroom (a dynamic and searchable catalog of your products).
However, a template can display one product only and look the same way for all products without an ability to tweak it. There is another alternative for building product pages – Layouts.
To create a new template follow the steps below.
There are few ways to create a catalogs. You can use one approach or all of them in one catalog.

Catalog Maker is a build tool for fast and easy creation of a product catalog with predefined page layouts.

Table of Contents (ToC) is a special page in your catalog that lists your catalog sections and products with page numbers. You can order ToC products by page number, name or code and use global or by-section product lists. In addition, you can add multiple ToC pages to your catalog.

After creating a catalog, you can display it on your website. The embedded catalog view can be configured for different height, width and type of navigation.

There are few simple steps for embedding a product catalog into your website.
Catalog Machine provides several common layouts in addition to ability to create your own or import shared layouts from other users. Each layout is an arrangement of various elements to quickly build a catalog page.
By adding a layout, you add placeholders for several page elements in one click. Once layout is added, you can drag and drop a product or an image to the placeholder and it will be converted into the text or image element linked to the product.
To add and use a predefined layout to your catalog page follow the steps below.
After you click Save button, the system creates an automatic backup for the saved catalog that can be restored later. In addition, users with paid accounts can create manual backups of a catalog.
The Layout Designer is similar to the Catalog Designer with one distinction: some elements (such as images or product text) are placeholders. These placeholder should be filled once they added to the catalog page as part of this layout.
